For Laver Cup 2026 in London, dress for an indoor tennis session and the journey around it. A breathable top, relaxed trousers, comfortable walking shoes and one light layer are a better starting point than full tennis kit. Bring a small bag that meets The O2 policy, and keep your phone ready for your ticket.

The tournament runs from 25 to 27 September at The O2. The venue event page confirms the dates and explains how mobile tickets work. Check your own session time before leaving.

Is there a dress code for Laver Cup spectators?

The O2 says there is no general arena dress code, subject to its rules on prohibited clothing. You do not need a tennis skirt, a polo or team merchandise to belong in the stands. Dress as you would for a long cultural event: comfortable enough to sit and move, considered enough to take into dinner afterward.

Build the outfit around the part of the day you cannot control

For an arena only session

Try a clean T shirt or soft shirt with straight leg trousers, low profile sneakers and a fine knit you can remove easily. A navy, cream and charcoal palette feels polished without trying to imitate the players. If you like a sport reference, a restrained colour accent is enough.

For the Fan Zone and arena together

The official Laver Cup event guide places the Fan Zone outside near North Greenwich station and says it is open to the public. That creates a useful distinction. You may spend time outdoors before sitting in an indoor arena. Add a light outer layer that is easy to carry, then check the London forecast for your arrival and return journey. Our guide to layering without bulk helps when you need warmth without filling your bag.

For a full day around Greenwich

Choose shoes you trust for station corridors, queues and walking between stops. Keep the trousers comfortable at the waist when seated. If the day includes sightseeing, the principles in our city sightseeing outfit guide are useful here too. Change the outer layer, not the whole outfit, when you move from the street to the stands.

The bag and ticket check matters more than a tennis look

The official Laver Cup guide says one small bag no larger than A4 size, or a standard handbag, is permitted per person. It specifically excludes backpacks, travel cases, laptop bags, camera bags and large totes from the arena. Policies can change, so check the event guide again before you go. The O2 event page says tickets bought through the venue or AXS need to be displayed on a phone through The O2 app. Give your phone charge priority over extra accessories.

A simple final formula

Wear a plain top, relaxed trousers, comfortable sneakers and a light knit. Carry a compact outer layer if you plan to visit the outdoor Fan Zone or travel home late. Keep your bag within the venue rules. The result is an outfit suited to the actual day, not a costume built around the word tennis.
